How much should convenience matter in a privacy choice?

I need a service that works for my everyday routine. How do I weigh convenience against data use?

Describe the function you need and the information it requires. Compare alternatives and controls without assuming the same tradeoff is right for every person.

I would compare the few features I actually need first. A long list of optional features would make the decision harder for me.

That gives me a starting point: list the task, the information it requires, and the controls I can realistically use.
